Group B&B bookings in Donegal

Looking to book Bed and Breakfast accommodation for a group near the famous Slieve League cliffs in Donegal? We have the ability to host group bookings of up to 50 people. Make sure to book well in advance so we can cater to your full group; we do tend to sell out fast. Got a larger group? That's no problem. We also have arrangements with two other accommodation providers in the area. This allows us to accommodate up to 100 people, connected via local bus routes. We make it simple so you can focus on the bits that matter. We recognise each group has a different set of needs. To make the most of our group discounts, please contact us by phone rather than booking online. We provide guides on local attractions to make sure your group gets the most of your stay with us. We look forward to having you. Read on for our catering options.

Perhaps you want to cook your own lunches, or enjoy some of the local eateries in the area? Opt for dinner and breakfast in this case. We have a large shared kitchen that makes it easy to self cater your lunches, if that suits you.

Breakfast only

Prefer the traditional Bed and Breakfast option? We provide either a traditional Irish fried breakfast, or a continental breakfast of cereals, toast and jams. Enjoy a pot of filtered coffee and fruit juice to go with it.

Fully self catered

Maybe you'd prefer to do your own cooking? That's fine too. We have a large communal kitchen that is fully kitted with pots, pans, cooking trays, fridges, cups, glasses, and anything you could need to prepare a warm hearty meal.

We have a large communal kitchen area, with its own fireplace. This tends to be the main socialising area, as its warm and homely. The kitchen sits alongside a large dining area with tables and chairs. We have a TV in this room too, often used by groups to show presentations or training videos.

Communal lounge area

On the first floor, we have a large communal lounge area with sofas and tables. This area is perfect for having a chat as a group after a long day of activities in the local area. Kick back, relax, and share a story about the day.

Library

Our first floor has a wide selection of books to chose from. Unwind on a sofa in the evenings, tucked under a blanket and enjoy a good read.

had to say about us

A group of around 50 of us have just returned from a fantastic weekend. We were made to feel right at home. The accommodation and facilities were perfect. It was very clean with lovely crisp white sheets. We had a fabulous fried breakfast each morning along with toast and cereals. Lunch was soup and wheaten breads and dinner was lasagne, a very nice salad and apple strudel. There were tea and coffee facilities and full use of the kitchen also available. We were treated to hot choc with cream and marshmallows at supper. There were power point facilities and wifi throughout. This is a family run business and they were always on hand for a chat and if anything was needed. The area is remote, unspoiled and incredibly beautiful. There are countless empty beaches to enjoy. There are spectacular cliffs nearby. There is a nearby village with shop, chip van and pub. Would highly recommend to groups looking for a weekend away or families or individuals who would like excellent value accommodation on a budget.

Here's another review from a recent group

We have just returned from a weekend at ARAS and can only say this place was perfect for our purposes. The owners Leon, Gill and Chris could not have been more helpful. They were friendly, courteous and could only be described as the perfect hosts. The host family have created a warm, friendly and relaxed ambience. It was home from home but with a sense of being well looked after. We were a group of 50 people. Aras provided for all our catering needs with food of the highest quality. Cooked breakfasts, soup & buffet lunches and a two course evening meal - the food was of a very high standard, well over and above what we expected. The accomodation was warm, clean and practical. The bedrooms were presented to us clean and tidy and almost all had ensuite facilities. Having use of a large lounge which has seating for 40 people, but easily accommodated our group of 50, was a very useful space for group meetings. The dining area and public kitchen meant we were able to have tea, coffee and drinks on tap. The scenery around Aras is breathtaking and offers endless opportunities for walks, trips and sights of special beauty and interest. We were only there for a weekend but it was simply too short a stay to exhaust the endless possibilities for interesting visits. It is a 2 hr 30 minute drive from Belfast and is the perfect 'get away from it all' location. The directions for Aras on their website are excellent. For groups, it is a perfect weekend venue, which offers good value for money and excellent hospitality. I am so impressed with the facility that I am about to look at diary dates for a return visit in 2019 and will certainly tell the good news story of our stay with Aras far and wide. A treasure of hospitality, friendship and excellence in service provision not to be missed. I have stayed in many 3 and 4 star hotels where the service, food and hospitality have come nowhere near to our experience at Aras. One word to describe my experience at this hostal - inspiring!
